our story
Like most Filipinos in America, it was that pursuit of the American Dream. Moved to Beaumont from the Philippines as a family of five, the youngest joined us here and we became a family of six. We were far from wealthy and mom & dad worked hard to make sure we had what we needed. In an effort to help provide, mom started cooking traditional Filipino food and became known to cater for the Filipino community of Beaumont, TX.
Fast forward, all four kids are adults and independent. Mom continued to cater here and there while working a full time job. We would throw around the idea of a food truck or a restaurant in Houston. Of course it’s not until a pandemic hit us, forced the country to shut down, that the eldest thought it would be brilliant to move the parents to Houston to start a food truck. Mom put in her two weeks notice end of September, with a week prep, we opened the truck on October 14, 2020. It has been challenging but serving you has powered us through!
Our food truck features traditional Filipino classics with an authentic list of catering dishes for your gatherings. Our desire is for us to be able to serve the greater Houston area and share the dishes of our culture. Salamat!
